Someone just hung it on a tree branch. No bottom to it, so the bird had flown long ago, but it was so ODD, just hanging there on a semi-busy street, no other trash or treasures..
Ah now I see it, seems to good to have just been dumped but I guess in a big place like New York getting rid of stuff might not be as easy as it is here.

It's intersting... been turning it this way and that to try and 'read' it... can't see how it is supported.
