It is a big huge bug... about 8 feet tall with a man inside. There is a whole troop of these, and they come out for certain parades. This was the Halloween Parade last year. It is one of the most fun events in NY, though so big you can't see it all. These guys used to end at my street and shed their skins etc. They are lit up from the inside. Amazing costumes.
