Someone just hung it on a tree branch. No bottom to it, so the bird had flown long ago, but it was so ODD, just hanging there on a semi-busy street, no other trash or treasures..
Ah now I see it, seems to good to have just been dumped but I guess in a big place like New York getting rid of stuff might not be as easy as it is here.
